The Longhorns appear in the top four in the AVCA preseason poll for the 18th-consecutive time and so are ranked in the best two spots for the eleventh time in the last 18 seasons. Texas, who was picked initial during the SEC Coaches’ Poll, is one of 6 SEC teams in the highest-25 as Kentucky checks in at No. nine, Florida came in at No. 11, Tennessee is rated 15th, Arkansas isn't any. 19 and Ga rounds out the poll at No. 25. In non-convention play, Texas will deal with four preseason ranked groups – No. three Wisconsin, No. 18 Minnesota, No. five Stanford and No. 23 Baylor.
